Garage Sale Information:

Individuals who are interested in participating in the garage sale days are only asked to include the word Route 150 Garage Sale Days in any newspaper advertising they do.  At this time we do not ask participants to pay us for any advertising costs. In the future, as the Route 150 Garage Sale Days grows, we may ask interested participants to support advertising by paying a small fee toward the advertising we do for this as an event.

Welcome to Illinois Route 150

Come for a senic drive along old Route 150 from Galesburg to Bloomington Illinois with the color of the leaves changing.

We promote garage sales to be organized by residents and sales at businesses located all along Route 150 between Galesburg and Bloomington.

Route 150 Garage Sale Days begins in Galesburg, takes you thru Brimfield, into Peoria, where it changes to War Memorial Drive where you then cross the Illinois River, turning South onto Cat Trail traveling down past the Paradise Casino thru Downtown East Peoria, to Camp Street where you turn left at Walgreens proceeding to where Route 150 travels up and over the Rail Road as it is known as Meadows Avenue while proceeding thru to Morton where Route 150 changes to be known as Jackson Street. Old Route 150 then proceeds Eastward to a point where you can cross the tracks into the quant Village of Deer Creek or proceed East thru Goodfield, Congerville and Carlock before continueing onto to Bloomington.

This old Route 150 Trail was a more traveled road prior to the creation of Interstate 74 in the mid 1960's. Illinois Route 150 is a fairly well kept older road with a lot of nostaligic farm scenery along the route.

Residents living along this old Route 150 and the small communities along the route are invited to organize their individual garage sales for the third weekend of each September. As more and more individuals choose to participate as organizing garage sales or going to them, we hope this becomes a welcomed last of the year garage sale route.

We also invite businesses along the event to participate in the Route 150 Sale Days by holding and advertising their own Sales within their own businesses during that same third weekend of September.
